Sowing and germination

Asparagus seeds are round, black or dark, about 2.5-3.5 mm in diameter, formed inside juicy berries, which become dark purple, bluish-black or black when ripe. Before sowing, the seeds are soaked for 24 hours in warm water at room temperature with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. Sowing is carried out in the spring or year-round in the presence of stable heat and lighting. A loose, sterile substrate of peat, leaf soil, perlite and a small amount of coarse sand is used. The seeds are sown to a depth of about 3-5 mm, the sowing is moistened with a spray bottle and covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse. The temperature is maintained at 22-26°C; bright, diffuse lighting is required, without direct sun.
