Sowing and germination

It is advisable to pre-stratify the seeds. Before planting, the seeds of coniferous plants are soaked in a solution of potassium permanganate, then in clean water for 24 hours, then sown in sand at a depth of 0.5–1 cm. The container is kept from several days to 2 months in a cold place at a temperature of 4-5°C. At home, the seeds are placed in the refrigerator in late autumn or winter and planted in the spring. In March, the crops are transferred to a warm place, moistened with a spray bottle, and germinated in the light at a temperature of 21-22°C. Overmoistening and drying out should be avoided. After 2–3 weeks, shoots appear. Small Christmas trees are carefully watered, fed twice with a weak solution of complex fertilizers, and the soil is slightly loosened. At the end of May, the seedlings are transplanted into open ground.
