Sowing and germination

Before sowing, seeds are soaked in hot water for several hours. They are sown in a mixture of sand and peat, planted to a depth of 2 cm. The container with the crops is covered with glass or film to create greenhouse conditions. Seeds take a very long time to germinate; this process can take from a month to a year. This period can be shortened by rubbing the surface of each seed with sandpaper. The seedlings are planted in separate pots a few weeks after their appearance.
