Sowing and germination

Seeds are sown in the fall immediately after collection or in the spring after stratification for 2–3 months at a temperature of 2–5°C (at home they are placed in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf). For sowing, a light substrate is used based on humus, sand, turf soil with the addition of rotted sawdust and wood ash. The seeding depth is 1–1.5 cm. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light at a temperature of 18–22°C with regular ventilation, avoiding waterlogging and drying out. Shoots appear in 30–60 days, the minimum germination period is 30 days, the maximum possible is over 90 days.
