Sowing and germination
Seeds need stratification; for germination it is recommended to follow one of the given methods. For normal stratification, the seeds are first filled with warm water around 40°C and soaked for 24 hours, after which they are kept for another 2-3 hours in water with the addition of stimulants (balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant), then thoroughly mixed with 3 times the volume of medium-grained river sand or peat chips. The resulting mixture is well moistened and poured into a container with a thick drainage layer that provides air access. Stratification should take place at a temperature of 5-6°C; at home, the sowing is placed in the refrigerator for 2-3 months until germination. It is allowed to lower the temperature to 3-4°C, but no more than 2-3 days.
