Sowing and germination

Juttadinteria seeds are small and brownish. Sowing is best done in autumn, winter or early spring, when it is easier to maintain a moderate temperature without overheating. A sterile fine-grained mineral substrate is used based on sifted soil for succulents, fine washed sand, perlite and mineral chips. The seeds are distributed over the surface, not buried or sprinkled, or only barely powdered with a thin layer of sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a weak solution of potassium permanganate or biofungicide with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. The container is covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse. Germination is carried out in bright, diffused light and a temperature of about 16-22°C, without direct sun and overheating.
