Sowing and germination
Seeds require mandatory scarification before sowing, since their dense shell is practically impermeable to moisture. To do this, the outer shell is carefully filed or sanded with sandpaper, being careful not to damage the inside of the seed. After scarification, the seeds are soaked in clean water at room temperature for 12 hours, then removed and dried in the sun for the next half day. This soaking and drying cycle is repeated daily for 10 to 14 days. At the last stage of processing, the seeds are placed in warm water (from +28°C) with the addition of growth stimulants such as balanced plant vitamin supplement, anti-stress adaptogen solution, natural plant growth stimulant or root development stimulant. After preparation, the seeds are sown in individual containers up to 10 cm deep, filled with moist coarse peat with a top layer of sand, which creates additional drainage.
