Sowing and germination
Lantana seeds are found inside small berry-shaped drupes. Their shell is dense, so germination can be uneven and stretched. Before sowing, the seeds are kept for 1-2 hours in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate, then soaked for 12-24 hours in warm water with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. Sowing is carried out in a sterile loose substrate with the addition of sand or perlite, with light covering of the seeds. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle and placed in a greenhouse. Germination is carried out in bright, diffused light and a temperature of about 24-26°C. The substrate is kept slightly moist, but not wet, and the crops are regularly ventilated.
