Sowing and germination
Spilanthes acmella seeds are small and light - these are typical Asteraceae achenes, which are physically inconvenient and do not need to be soaked or processed in solutions: when processed in liquid, such seeds are easily lost and damaged. They need light to germinate, so they cannot be buried in the substrate. Seeds are immediately sown superficially, without embedding, in a light, breathable substrate and moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. The sowing is covered with film or placed in a greenhouse and kept in bright diffused light at a temperature of 20-24°C, with daily ventilation. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within 7 days, the main germination is usually completed within 2 weeks, and individual seeds may linger longer.
