Sowing and germination
Arrojadoa seeds are small, black, shiny, ripen into juicy berry-like fruits. They usually germinate well without any pre-sowing preparation; scarification and stratification are not required. To be on the safe side, before sowing, the substrate is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate or biofungicide. Guaranteed high germination is achieved by soaking the seeds for 24 hours in a solution of gibberellic acid GK3 with a concentration of 1000 ppm, that is, 1 g per 1 liter of water. After such soaking, the seeds are sown while still wet, without allowing them to dry out. For sowing, prepare a permeable mixture, for example, 2 parts sand and 1 part leaf soil, which is pre-sterilized. It is better to make the top layer of clean sand - both the black seeds themselves and the seedlings will be clearly visible on it. High drainage is arranged at the bottom of the seeding container.
