Sowing and germination

Corriocactus seeds are small, dark, and ripen into large juicy fruits. It is not advisable to soak such seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially, without deepening, in a cactus substrate half diluted with sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant or seed-safe growth stimulant, covered with glass or film, or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light, but not in direct sun, at a temperature of 20-25°C. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within 1-2 weeks, the main germination is usually completed within a month, and individual seeds may linger longer. The seedlings need daily ventilation; waterlogging and drying out of the crops are unacceptable.
