Sowing and germination
Clitoria seeds are dense, dark, ripen in flat beans. Their shell is hard, so the seeds need pre-treatment before sowing. No stratification required. The seeds are kept for 1-2 hours in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate, then soaked for 10-15 hours in warm water with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant, most conveniently in a thermos so that the water does not cool down. Then they are sown in a loose nutrient substrate, moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light, but not in direct sun, at a temperature of 21-24°C. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within 7 days, the main germination is completed in 7-14 days, and individual seeds can linger for a very long time, up to 4-5 months.
