Sowing and germination
Faucaria seeds are very small, dark, ripen in dry boxes that open when exposed to moisture. It is impractical to soak such small seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially, without embedding, in a sterile fine-grained mineral substrate with a top layer of washed sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant or seed-safe growth stimulant, covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in bright diffused light and a temperature of 18-24°C, without overheating in direct sun. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within a week, the main germination is completed in 2-3 weeks, and individual seeds can linger for up to 4-6 weeks.
