Sowing and germination

Drosanthemum seeds are very small, dark, and ripen in dry capsules that open when exposed to moisture. It is not advisable to soak such seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially, without embedding, in a loose mineral substrate with the addition of fine sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon, covered with a film or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light, but not under direct rays, at a temperature of 18-24°C. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within a week, the main germination is completed in 2-3 weeks, and individual seeds can linger for up to 4-6 weeks.
