Sowing and germination
Lithops seeds are very small, light brown, ripen in boxes that open when exposed to moisture. It is impractical to soak such seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: the planting mixture is poured with boiling water or calcined in the oven, and the planting container is kept for a day in a saturated solution of potassium permanganate. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out in a shallow bowl with a mixture of 1 part leaf soil and 2 parts coarse sand with perlite, with an interval of 2-3 mm between seeds, with light pressing and sprinkling with a thin layer of sand no more than 1 mm. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant or seed-safe growth stimulant, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not under direct rays, at a temperature of 22-28°C.
