Sowing and germination

Dust-like seeds! Seeds are sown superficially, moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-25°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. The first shoots should appear in 30-35 days. Dinteranthus are considered difficult to grow from seeds. At least, if they are sown in the same way as lithops and other mesembas, the result is usually unsatisfactory. Therefore, I will give recommendations on planting and germination from world-famous experts. Stephen Hammer's Method: (from his article 'The New Mastering the Art of Growing Mesembs') For success, sow seeds in mid-summer using a sterilized mixture with pebbles and enough peat to keep the soil acidic. The pot with the seeds should be placed in a bath of water, the whole thing should be covered with a plastic lid and placed in a bright place.
