Sowing and germination

The seeds are pre-soaked for 6 hours in a bright solution of manganese, then for another 12-20 hours in water with the addition of stimulants (root development stimulant, anti-stress adaptogen solution). A sowing mixture of equal parts of soil for cacti and coarse sand with the addition of vermiculite, coal or brick chips is pre-heated for 1 hour in the oven. Seeds are sown superficially with a sharp tip deep into the substrate. They are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with glass or film and germinated in the light at a temperature of 25-30°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Shoots appear on days 3-14 and are kept under cover for up to 3 weeks. In the fourth week, the seedlings begin to develop characteristic wrinkles. For species with single stems, seed propagation is the only possible method.
