Carruanthus CANINUS - Stiff Carruanthus, Dog Carruanthus.
Flowering plants in the ice plant family (Aizoaceae). Restricted native range in the southern part of the Cape Province. Very popular succulents with a short stem and decorative leaves.
Stiff carruanthus - like the longer-leaved Faucaria, it has club-shaped three-angled opposite gray-green leaves with toothed margins. Their upper surface is flat, while the tip of the lower keeled side extends forward at an angle. The flowers are yellow, reddish on the outside, 4-5 cm (1.6-2.0 in) in diameter, on peduncles up to 10 cm (3.9 in) long (native to the Cape Province, South Africa).
