Sowing and germination

The seeds are medium-sized, dark, smooth, enclosed in dehiscent fruits with a bright apex. Before sowing, the seeds are cleared of any remaining shells and washed. Soaking is carried out for 4-8 hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate with the addition of stimulants. (SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminosol, Epin or Zircon). Scarification is rarely used and only with a dense shell. Sowing is carried out in a loose, breathable substrate based on sand with the addition of turf soil or mineral disintegrants. The planting depth is approximately the diameter of the seed, usually 0.5-1 cm. A deep container is used, as a tap root system is formed. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun at a temperature of 28-30°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops.
