Sowing and germination
Henna is propagated by seeds and cuttings. The seeds have good germination and begin to germinate within a week, but the germination period is very extended and they do not germinate smoothly. To make the germination process more uniform, it is recommended to soak them before planting for 5-7 days, changing the water daily, or wet them, put them in a damp cloth and place them in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, and then plant them. These measures will help achieve greater uniformity of seed germination within a week. You don’t have to carry out any preparation of the seeds; the first shoots will also appear in a week, but the rest of the seeds will sprout within a month. The seeds are scattered over the surface of moist (but not wet) soil, pressed lightly, sprinkled with 1-2mm, and covered with glass or film. The soil temperature should be slightly above room temperature.
