Rare plant!
Arisaema is a genus of herbaceous tuberous plants in the Araceae family, comprising about 200 species and distributed across the Himalayas, Southeast Asia, and East Africa.
Plants of this genus are perennials with underground tubers and umbrella-like leaves, often composed of 3-20 leaflets. The peduncle bears a spadix inflorescence surrounded by a spathe of diverse shape and coloration, frequently resembling a hood or a spiral.
Flowering occurs in spring and early summer. The inflorescence is an upright spadix bearing male and female flowers, enveloped by a variegated or striped spathe. Fruits are bright red berries gathered in a dense cluster. Seeds are large, rounded.
Arisaema tortuosum is the most widespread species among the various members. The flowers are green at the start of flowering and dark brown before fading.
