Sowing and germination

Seeds are stratified for 2 months in a cold environment at a temperature of 4-5°C. At home, the seeds are placed in the refrigerator. Before planting, the seeds are soaked in hot water for 12-24 hours, then sown to a depth of 2-4 cm and sprinkled with a layer of soil. They are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light at a temperature of 21-22°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. The seeds may require one or two layers of peeling until they become a glossy black seed (see Photo 4).
