Sowing and germination

Before sowing, they are soaked for 24-48 hours in warm water or in a solution of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant, and it is useful to slightly file the shell. Stratification is mandatory and two-stage: 3 months at 20-25°C in wet sand, then 3 months at 2-5°C. The easiest way is to sow freshly harvested seeds before winter directly into the ground to a depth of 2-3 cm: then both phases of stratification occur naturally. Shoots appear in the spring, often only in the second year, so the crops are not thrown away ahead of time and are kept evenly moist. Seedlings are shaded in the first year and planted in a permanent place in the second or third year.
