Sowing and germination
Seeds require preliminary dry stratification and are kept for 2-3 months in a cold environment at a temperature of 4-5°C. At home, the seeds are placed in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf. To increase the likelihood of germination, the wet stratification method is used. The seeds are placed on a napkin moistened until damp (not wet) in a fungicide (for example, “Topaz” 1 drop per 100 ml), wrapped and packaged in a resealable container (you can use a bag with a snap). The wipes are periodically checked for moisture and, if necessary, re-moistened. If the seeds have not undergone wet stratification, then before planting they are soaked for a day in water at room temperature. Then they are sown in a moist peat substrate without deepening the surface. We recommend a seeding substrate of 2 parts high-moor peat and 1 part perlite.
