Sowing and germination

Seeds are sown superficially on a moistened mineral substrate with the addition of fine sand. The crops are covered with a transparent cap. Daily ventilation and temperature maintenance in the range of 22-26°C are required. Shoots appear in 7-20 days. In rare cases, germination takes up to 30-40 days. Picking is carried out after the first spines appear, while the seedlings are carefully transplanted into individual containers and kept in diffused lighting.
