Sowing and germination
Monilaria grow easily and quickly from seeds, often demonstrating 100% germination. As a substrate for sowing, you can use purchased soil for cacti, to which you add about a third of washed river sand. You can use a mixture of 1 part turf soil and 2 parts sand. The soil mixture must be sterilized before sowing. The seeds are laid out on the surface of the moistened soil, without sprinkling anything on top - in the dark, the seeds of aizaceae do not germinate well. The sowing bowl is covered with glass or film and kept in a bright (without direct sun) place at a temperature not higher than + 20 - 22º. It's good if the night temperatures are slightly lower. Monilaria germinate very quickly, the first seedlings often appear within a week after sowing. Bowls with crops must be frequently ventilated, preventing them from drying out, and provide bright, diffused light.
