Sowing and germination
Seeds are pre-soaked for 4-6 hours in a solution of growth stimulant or fungicide, then sown in a moist substrate consisting of leaf soil and river sand, poured on top of expanded clay previously scalded with boiling water. Sowing substrate can also be similar to that used for adeniums. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the direct sun, at a temperature of 21-26°C. Provide regular ventilation and avoid waterlogging or drying out. Seeds usually take 3-4 weeks to 2-3 months to germinate, depending on conditions. Prick out seedlings once 2-3 true leaves appear. Young plants gradually become accustomed to lower humidity and brighter light.
