Sowing and germination
Seeds have low natural germination rate, not exceeding 50%. Before sowing, the seeds are kept in warm water for 12-24 hours. Sowing is carried out in a loose substrate of leaf soil and sand or in a light sand-peat mixture with a depth of no more than 2-3 mm. The soil is moistened with a spray bottle and covered with glass or transparent film to maintain constant moisture. Germination is carried out in the light, but without direct sunlight, at a temperature of 22-26 °C. Daily ventilation and humidity control are carried out, both drying out and waterlogging are avoided. Shoots appear in 15-25 days, the minimum period is about 15 days, and the maximum possible period is more than 40 days. After the first leaves appear, the shelter is removed, and the young plants gradually become accustomed to open air and bright light. No picking is required - the seedlings are transplanted into separate pots as they grow.
