Sowing and germination

Seeds are soaked for 2-3 hours or fungicide then they are sown to a depth of 0.5-1 cm in a light, loose substrate consisting of sand, peat, perlite and sprinkled with a layer of soil. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, placed in a greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-26°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Shoots appear within 15-25 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 40 days. After the appearance of 2-3 true leaves, they are planted in individual 6 cm pots with a light substrate and drainage; after a year, 8-9 cm.
