Sowing and germination

Most often, cylindrophyllums demonstrate good germination, although failures are possible. Seeds germinate less well at too high temperatures, so it is better to sow in winter or early spring, when it is easier to maintain the required temperature regime. It is advisable to keep the bowl with the sown seeds at 13-15ºC for 24 hours, and then increase the temperature to 21-22ºC (not higher). Significantly increases germination by soaking seeds in a solution of gibberellic acid GK3 (1 g per 1 liter of distilled or boiled water at room temperature) for 5-6 hours. Germination requires light, so the seeds are not sprinkled with anything, but only lightly pressed into a moistened substrate. During germination, you need to make sure that they do not dry out.
