Sowing and germination

Before sowing, seeds are soaked in warm water for 6–12 hours. They are sown superficially in a loose substrate based on sand and leaf soil, lightly pressed, moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-26°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Shoots appear in 7–20 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 30 days. Picking is carried out when the first thorns appear, the seedlings are transplanted into individual containers.
