Sowing and germination

Seeds are pre-treated with any fungicide and soaked for 24 hours in boiled water to soften the shell. Then 2-3 pieces are sown in separate pots with purchased soil for cacti or a light, well-drained substrate of leaf soil, peat and coarse sand. To avoid drying out, the seeds are slightly pressed into the substrate. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 22-27°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. A month after the first shoots appear, the protective film is removed. During the first year, seedlings do not need to be replanted. The sprouts are transplanted into separate pots in the spring after good rooting.
