Sowing and germination
Seeds are pre-soaked in a growth stimulant or a weak solution of potassium permanganate, then sown in a substrate of 4 parts fine sand, 1 part sifted slightly acidic peat and 4 parts broken brick. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 21-26°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. The seeds germinate easily, but difficulties begin after they hatch. The seedlings must be kept closed for six months. Afterwards, the crops begin to ventilate, gradually accustoming them to dry oxygen. Seedlings are planted at the age of 3 months into small pots, at the bottom of which expanded clay and a layer of the same soil that was used earlier are poured.
