Sowing and germination
Seeds have a high germination rate. Before sowing, the seeds are pre-soaked in a weak solution of potassium permanganate for 10 minutes, then in warm water for a couple of hours, after which they are sown in a moist substrate made of peat and sand or any ready-made substrate for seedlings of flowering plants. Sowing is done superficially or with embedding to a depth commensurate with the seed itself. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle, covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun, at a temperature of 20-24°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Shoots appear in 14-16 days. There is an alternative sowing method in which the seeds are germinated in damp tissue. With this method, the sprouts hatch 3-4 days after soaking, after which they are planted in the substrate.
