Sowing and germination
Before sowing, the seeds are soaked in warm water (35-40°C) for 24 hours to soften the shell, then treated in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate for 1-2 hours. Additionally, you can use growth stimulants (balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant). No stratification required. Scarification is not necessary, but carefully breaking the integrity of the cork shell with a sharp object or sandpaper significantly speeds up germination. Gloves are used when working with seeds and plants. Sowing is carried out at any time of the year in a loose, drained substrate based on peat soil with the addition of sand or perlite. Seeds need a small amount of light for germination - they are laid out on the surface and only slightly pressed into the substrate or sprinkled with a layer of 0.5 cm.
