Sowing and germination

Seeds are sown on the surface of a moistened mineral mixture (sand and fine perlite), lightly pressed and covered with glass or film. Crops are kept at a temperature of 22–26°C, in diffused light. Regular ventilation is provided. Shoots appear in 7–25 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 30 days. After the first thorns appear, they are picked into separate containers.
