Sowing and germination

in culture is possible by seeds and lateral rosettes. The side rosettes are separated only after the formation of their own roots or of sufficient size, the sections are dried, and planting is carried out in a loose mineral substrate. Reproduction: Puya seeds are small, light, flat or slightly winged, brown, adapted to dispersal by wind. Sowing is carried out superficially, without soaking. A sterile, loose seeding substrate based on fine peat, sifted leaf soil, washed sand and fine perlite is used. The seeds are distributed over the surface, lightly pressed against the moist soil and not covered or sprinkled with a barely noticeable layer of sifted sand.
