Sowing and germination

Philodendron seeds are very small, light brown, oblong. Sowing is carried out year-round in a loose, moisture-intensive peat-based substrate with the addition of perlite or sphagnum. The seeds are laid out on the surface, lightly sprinkled with a thin layer of soil and sprayed with a solution of a growth stimulator from a spray bottle - SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon are used. The crops are placed in a greenhouse and kept at a temperature of 20-25°C in diffused light. The substrate is kept constantly moist; waterlogging is unacceptable. Daily ventilation is mandatory. Shoots appear in 14-30 days, the minimum period is about 10-14 days at optimal temperature, the maximum possible period is up to 6 weeks. After germination, the cover is removed gradually while maintaining high air humidity.
