Sowing and germination

Seeds do not require treatment before sowing. Sown superficially in a wide pot on a moist, loose substrate consisting of sand, zeolite and a small amount of leaf soil; you can use specialized substrates for succulents and cacti. The containers are placed under glass or in a greenhouse, light is provided, but without direct sunlight. The temperature is maintained between 22–26°C. Shoots appear within 15–30 days. The maximum germination period can be more than 60 days. Picking is carried out after the formation of a rounded tip, the appearance of compression at the root collar and the appearance of 2-3 true papillae. Seedlings are sensitive to waterlogging and require bright, diffused lighting. Cacti grown from seeds tend to stretch.
