Sowing and germination

Melaleuca seeds are small and light-colored. Before sowing, it is recommended to use growth stimulants (SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon). Stratification and scarification are not required. Sowing is carried out year-round in a loose, well-drained substrate. The seeds need light for germination and are laid out on the surface of the substrate without being buried - if necessary, they are lightly sprinkled with sifted sand for fixation. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle and kept at a temperature of 20-25°C in partial shade. The substrate is kept constantly moist without waterlogging. Daily ventilation is mandatory. Shoots appear in 14-42 days, the minimum period is about 14 days under optimal conditions, the maximum possible period is up to 6 weeks. Seeds can remain dormant until suitable conditions occur. After germination, the cover is removed gradually, the substrate is kept slightly moist.
