Sowing and germination

The leaf blade is large, deeply radially dissected. The trunk is wider towards the top from the remains of leaf petioles and a thicker dark brown fibrous felt covering it. It is undemanding to soil conditions, grows well on loamy and sandy loam soils; tolerates both acidic and alkaline soils, tolerating the presence of lime well, however, on dry soils and during dry periods it requires watering.
