Sowing and germination
Seed propagation is difficult, since most of the seeds are sterile. You can store seeds in an airtight container at a temperature from 0 to 5 degrees. Seeds are sown before winter to a depth of 3-5 cm, mulched with a layer of 1-1.5 cm, and covered with snow. In spring to early summer, seedlings dive into boxes. In the first winter, it is advisable to cover young plantings. You can sow at any time of the year; in this case, for uniform germination, cold stratification is required for 4-6 weeks at a temperature of 3 to 5 degrees. After stratification, the crops are kept at a temperature of 18 to 20 degrees for germination. Seedlings must be protected from direct sun and watered moderately. Seedlings are gradually accustomed to the open air.
