Sowing and germination

** Many gardeners grow basil from seeds. Seeds are sown in small boxes in the soil for seedlings, lightly sprinkled on top, moistened and covered with a transparent bag or film to maintain moisture. In a warm place, seeds germinate in 5-7 days. The optimal temperature for basil seed germination is 22-26*C. When the basil sprouts reach a height of 5 cm, you can carefully transplant them to a permanent place: in the garden, box or other container.
