Sowing and germination

Oregano seeds are very small, dark brown or brownish, similar to small nuts. Sowing is carried out in the spring or year-round in the presence of stable heat and lighting. A light, sterile seeding substrate is used based on sifted peat, leaf soil, fine perlite and a small amount of washed sand. The seeds are distributed over the surface, lightly pressed against the moist soil and not covered or sprinkled with a barely noticeable layer of sifted substrate. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a weak solution of potassium permanganate or biofungicide, if necessary with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. The container is covered with a transparent lid or placed in a greenhouse.
