Sowing and germination
Andrographis seeds are small, yellow-brown, ripen in narrow, dry capsules. Under normal conditions, the average germination rate can be about 80%. Before sowing, the seeds are kept for 1-2 hours in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate, then soaked for 12-24 hours in warm water with the addition of a growth stimulator: balanced plant vitamin supplement, natural plant growth stimulant, amino-acid plant fertilizer, anti-stress adaptogen solution or root development stimulant. Sowing is carried out superficially or with very light cover with a sterile loose substrate with the addition of sand or perlite. The crops are moistened with a spray bottle and placed in a greenhouse. Germination is carried out in bright, diffused light and a temperature of about 22-28°C. The substrate is kept slightly moist, but not wet, and the crops are ventilated daily.
