Sowing and germination

Aeonium seeds are very small, almost dusty, and ripen in dry multi-leaflets. It is not advisable to soak such seeds - they are easily lost in liquid, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required; you can sow all year round. Sowing is carried out superficially, on a moistened sandy substrate, without deepening - the seeds are only slightly pressed to the surface. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon, covered with a film or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light at a temperature of 20-25°C. The crops are regularly ventilated; both waterlogging and drying out of the surface are unacceptable.
