Sowing and germination

Ferocactus seeds are small, black or brown, round, with a shiny surface. It is not advisable to soak such seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Sowing is carried out superficially, on a moistened mineral substrate with the addition of fine sand, without deepening. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a seed-safe growth stimulant according to its label directions, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant, seed-safe growth stimulant or seed-safe growth stimulant, covered with a transparent cap or placed in a greenhouse and kept at a temperature of 22-26°C with daily ventilation. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within a week, the main germination is usually completed within 3 weeks, and in some cases it lasts up to 30-40 days.
