Sowing and germination
Nightshade seeds are small, flat, light-colored, and ripen into juicy orange berries. It is impractical to soak such small seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification and stratification are not required. Seeds are sown on the surface of sifted leaf soil and covered with a thin layer of coarse sand. The crops are moistened from a spray bottle with a solution of a growth stimulator: SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon, covered with a film or placed in a greenhouse and germinated in the light, but not in direct sun, at a temperature of 20-22°C. Under favorable conditions, the first shoots appear within 2 weeks, the main germination is completed on the 14-15th day, and individual seeds may linger longer. Crops are regularly ventilated; overmoistening and drying out are unacceptable.
