Sowing and germination
Collinsia seeds are small, oval, with a deep notch, and ripen in dry capsules. It is impractical to soak such small seeds, so the substrate itself is disinfected: before sowing, it is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and dried. Scarification is not required, neither is stratification, but when sown in winter, the seeds pass through it naturally and germinate more smoothly. Sowing is carried out in early spring or before winter, directly into the ground, as well as for seedlings. The seeds are laid out on the surface and lightly pressed to the ground without covering them: they need light to germinate.
