Sowing and germination

Seeds are pre-soaked for 2-3 hours in a weak solution of potassium permanganate with the addition of stimulants (SUPERthrive, HB-101, Aminozol, Epin or Zircon), then sown in a mixture of leaf soil, sand and a small amount of humus (1: 1: 0.5), slightly pressing and leaving enough space between them for growth, moistened with a spray bottle, placed in greenhouse or covered with film and germinated in the light, but not in the sun at a temperature of 20-25°C. The seedlings need ventilation. It is necessary to avoid waterlogging and drying out of crops. Seeds germinate in 2 to 4 weeks. At the age of ten weeks, the seedlings are ready to be planted in individual pots or transplanted to a permanent location. Picking seedlings is carried out in the phase of 2-3 leaves into pots, in which the seedlings are subsequently planted in open ground so as not to damage the roots. A substrate similar to that used for sowing is suitable for picking.
